Ann Kok giving out 100 free scoops of ice cream to thank her IG followers and those who voted for her for Star Awards 2023
Competition is heating up for the Top 10 Most Popular category at this year's Star Awards, and in case you’ve lost track of time — there’s just a week to the big day.
And Ann Kok is sweetening the deal for those who vote for her. While it’s nothing as ostentatious as Marcus Chin’s holiday tour package giveaway, we reckon this is still a very yummy bargain to get behind.
On Thursday (Mar 30), Ann announced on Instagram that she has partnered up with a local ice cream shop to give away free ice cream to those who vote for her.
The 50-year-old star is just one award away from ascending the ranks of All-Time Favourite Artiste, so this year’s a really important year for her.
Ann's last Top 10 win was in 2021, and she wasn’t nominated in 2022 as she had no projects onscreen that year and wasn't eligible to make the Top 40 Most Popular Artistes shortlist.
When 8days.sg spoke to Ann previously, the actress shared that she isn’t going out of her way to trouble her friends and family to vote for her.
And that’s probably why you don’t actually need to vote for Ann in order to get your free ice cream. But hey, if you’re getting free ice cream, it won’t hurt to cast a vote, right?

"As an appreciation to everyone who have been diligently voting for me in this year’s Star Awards, I am collaborating with [local café Cold Flings] on a giveaway of 100 scoops of Dark Chocolate Collagen + Probiotics Ice Cream for my Instagram followers!” Ann wrote.
Here’s how to get your free scoop.
First, you have to follow both Cold Flings and Ann on Instagram, Then, head down to the café and simply show the café staff that you’ve liked Ann’s post, and that you’ve followed both Ann and the café on Instagram.
The giveaway only starts tomorrow (Apr 3) and ends on April 6, so remember to mark that down on your calendars!

The Walk Of Fame will be from 5pm - 6.30pm, on meWATCH, Ch 8, Ch U, and Mediacorp Entertainment YouTube Channel on the same day.
