Files Of Justice Star Amy Chan Posts New Selfie On 61st Birthday

Hong Kong actress Amy Chan (陈秀雯was once a familiar face on television, having starred in many classics in the ‘80s and ‘90s such as TVB's Files of Justice franchise and Fate of the Clairvoyant and ATV’s The Good Old Days.

She faded out of the spotlight after starring in The Men of Justice in 2010 and is now an aromatherapist running her own business.

Apart from a brief comeback to star in ViuTV drama Limited Education in 2019, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of her returning to the small screen.

But that's not to say she’s leaving showbiz behind.

Amy said previously that she is open to acting, but only if the role is suitable.

“I don't like to force things. I’ll do it if I come across a suitable project or if people think I'm suitable for the role,” she said.

“Perhaps it’s 'cos I'm older now. I may have filmed a lot in the past, and met many interesting scripts but my physical condition now is not the same."

She's 61 years young

She still looks great though.

Amy turned 61 on January 7 and she commemorated the occasion by posting a couple of selfies on Weibo.

“I wish everyone good health. Stay safe,” she wrote.

Though there was no mention of her birthday, fans and friends took to the comments section to send their birthday wishes.

Clearly, she's still very popular with the fans.

Amy started her acting career in 1979 and was once considered the Ah Jie of broadcaster ATV.

In 1986, she tied the knot with fellow actor Lam Kwok Hung and the couple have a son together. They divorced in 2012.
