It’s always fun to look out for new and interesting snacks when travelling, and here’s one to get if you’re heading to Bangkok: A Kit Kat-flavoured chocolate pound cake.

What it is
According to Twitter user @bongtao, the item — made by Thai confectioner S&P — is a classic soft chocolate pound cake topped with a layer of crushed “crunchy Kit Kat wafer”.

You can find it at supermarkets
The Twitter post added that the cake can be found in the freezer section at Thai supermarket chains like Tops, Big C and Lotus. It costs 155 baht each (S$6).

What it tastes like
Another Twitter user @sfkkfs who tried the Kit Kat cake opined that the texture of the cake is “soft and crumbly and a bit crunchy”. While it sounds like a very sweet cake to us, Thai netizens agreed that the cake was “not too sweet” and that it was best to consume the cake chilled.
