Linda Chung says her silence is the 'best response' when asked about netizens claiming she’s two-faced
Canada-based ex-TVB actress Linda Chung, 39, who’s back in Hong Kong for work, has been busy fielding interviews and picking up advertisement campaigns.
Recently, the star spoke to Hong Kong media about her kids, as well as her response to the many reports that popped out last year claiming that she’s “two-faced”.
Does she really behave differently off-camera?
Late last year, a netizen posted online, claiming that Linda behaved very snobbishly when they ran into the star. A few days later, another netizen who claimed to have worked with Linda chimed in, writing that the star’s “known for [having a bad attitude]” on set, and that she's rude to those that she deems “beneath her”.
Yet another netizen, who claimed to be Linda’s neighbour, also agreed, writing that the star, who lives in Vancouver, Canada, often scowls at her neighbours. Basically, the polar opposite of the sweet, girl-next-door persona she usually shows on social media.
Though there were comments by other netizens sharing that Linda was nothing but nice to them when they recognised her in public, Hong Kong media quickly picked up on these comments, and ran articles speculating whether Linda was truly “two-faced”.
Linda's not worried at all.
And now, we finally have a response from Linda.
“I think [remaining] silent is just fine 'cos [the reports are] not true. I don’t need to explain myself to the people who trust and love me,” Linda said.
When asked if she ever felt unhappy about the wild claims, Linda replied: “I don’t know when the pictures were taken, it could have been during the pandemic, or when I was pregnant, so I tend to avoid people. As humans, our mood and disposition can change as well. As long as I focus on myself, and be happy, everything else isn’t important.”
She added in a separate interview: “I don't think there’s a need for me to specifically clarify this issue, my silence is the best response.”
Linda and her family.
Linda, who said she’s focusing on her family for the time being, also shared that she’s not planning on having more kids. She and her chiropractor husband, Jeremy Leung, 51, have two daughters and a son together — Kelly, six, Jared, four, and six-month-old Anika.
“We're definitely stopping [at three]. I discussed this with my husband, we originally wanted four or five kids, but we feel that three is enough now. If I were 10 years younger, I’ll definitely have five kids! But we want to be as present as possible in our kids’ lives, so we’re more conscious of our health now,” she said, adding that she and her husband do not have helpers to assist them in caring for their kids.
Linda and her kids, who are with her in Hong Kong, recently attended the birthday party of fellow celeb Tavia Yeung's three-year-old daughter, Hera.
