Liza Wang Made 50 CNY Radish Cakes To Give To Her Family & Friends

For TVB Ah Jie Liza Wang, Chinese New Year is an extra busy period for her as she will slave in the kitchen making radish cakes.

Last year, the 74-year-old chronicled her epic cooking sesh on Instagram... though what got everyone talking was how she has not one, not two, but three helpers.

This year, she got to work with four of her buddies instead.

The 50 cakes were made with 50kg of white radishes, 25 pairs of Chinese sausages, 20 strips of cured meat, 8kg of glutinous rice flour, 1kg of dried shrimp, 500g of dried scallops and four packets of wheat starch along with other ingredients.

Liza is said to take radish cake making very seriously.

Every year, she would head down to the New Territories to harvest the 50kg of radishes needed, and is said to do so because she wants to make sure that she has the freshest produce.
