Netizens Criticise HK Actress Bowie Cheung’s Work As A Stylist; Say She Made Everyone Look 10 Years Older
Hong Kong actress Bowie Cheung, 30, has been making forays into fashion recently, and was tasked to be the stylist for the concert of TVB music competition Stars Academy.
Though Bowie, who is married to TVB actor Benjamin Yuen, put a lot of effort into her styling foray, even lending the contestants clothes from her own wardrobe, her efforts were not particularly well-received.

The concert, which was held on Sep 8, received mostly negative comments from netizens when it came to the singers’ outfits.
Did they look good?
"For your future styling endeavours, I’ll suggest that you take the time to properly understand those you’re styling before proceeding. Whether they’re non-celebs, models, singers, they all have different needs to consider,” one netizen wrote.
Another simply wrote: “Just forget it and return to acting”.

Recently, a group of Stars Academy students attended a gala celebrating the 73rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, with their outfits that night styled by Bowie.
Unfortunately, their outfits were again roundly criticised by netizens after Bowie posted a short video of the students on her Xiaohongshu and Instagram accounts.
"Recent styling work for AfterClass and Star Academy artistes,” she wrote in her caption.
While some wrote that the outfits looked good and well-coordinated, many felt that Bowie made everyone look “10 years older”.
In particular, netizens were not pleased with the outfits of the four girls — Windy, 16, Yumi, 15, Gigi, 17, and Chantel, 16.
“Please give them clothes that suit their actual ages,” one netizen wrote, while another straight up commented: “This is the difference between an amateur stylist and a professional stylist”.
Yet another netizen wrote: “Please spare them, just leave it to the professionals.”
Thankfully, there were those who felt that Bowie had improved.
A couple of netizens, particularly Gigi’s fans, took to Bowie’s Instagram to thank her for styling Gigi, writing that she “really brought out” Gigi’s good side.
