The OC’s Mischa Barton Claimed Publicist Told Her To Sleep With Leonardo DiCaprio In Resurfaced 2005 Interview
The OC star Mischa Barton once claimed her publicist suggested that she sleeps with Leonardo DiCaprio to give her career a leg up.
An interview Barton did with Harpers and Queen — later rebranded as Harper’s Bazaar — conducted in 2005 has resurfaced amid speculations that DiCaprio, 48, has hooked up with 19-year-old French Israeli model Eden Polani.
In that interview — reshared by popculturediedin2009, a pop-culture Twitter account, with the comment "This aged well" — Barton, then 19, recalled an incident where she and her then-publicist Craig Schneider saw DiCaprio at a photo shoot in Malibu.

At this point, DiCaprio was single and ready to mingle after just calling it quits on a six-year on-off relationship with model Gisele Bündchen.
According to Barton, Schneider allegedly told her: “For the sake of your career, go and sleep with that man.”
To which, Barton, now 37, said, “Isn’t Leo, like 30, or something?”
DiCaprio is notorious for dating women not older than 25. In 2022, he parted ways with American model Camila Morrone after more than four years together, months following her 25th birthday. The Revenant actor is said to be dating model Victoria Lamas, the 23-year-old daughter of Renegade actor Lorenzo Lamas.)
Early this week, Fox News presenter-turned-radio host Megyn Kelly ranted on about DiCaprio’s dating history and rumoured relationship with Polani on her SiriuxXM show.
“And now, he’s actually gone down to a teenager,” Kelly said. “She could literally be his daughter.”
She added, “I feel like this guy from the rate of things is never going to know the joy of meeting somebody who he can fall in deep love with and build a family with.”
Tabloids, quoting an insider, reported that DiCaprio and Polani aren’t dating.
However, there hasn't thus far been confirmation that they are dating, with a source telling People earlier this week: “Leo and Eden just so happened to have been seated next to each other at the [Ebony Riley’s EP release] party, and were hanging in the same group… Just because Leo might be talking to or sitting with a girl doesn't mean he's dating her.” (Well, not yet, right?)
In other Leonardo DiCaprio news, Titanic is back in cinemas to mark its 25th anniversary….25 years?! That movie is older than DiCaprio’s girlfriends.
