Ruco Chan’s Wife Phoebe Sin Denies She Is Expecting Their 2nd Child

TVB actor Ruco Chan’s attempt at humour on the third day of Chinese New Year, also known as Chikou Day (more on that later), ended up giving rise to rumours that his 31-year-old wife Phoebe Sin is pregnant with their second child.

When the 45-year-old shared pics of him, Phoebe and their three-year-old daughter Quinta on Feb 3, netizens couldn't help but notice that Phoebe's tummy was obscured in all the images. As netizens are wont to do, they immediately jumped to the conclusion that she was hiding her baby bump.

However, Phoebe has shot down the rumours by clarifying that there’s no bun in the oven, and that she will “definitely let everyone know if there’s any good news to share”.

Now, back to Chikou Day.

Traditionally, the third day of CNY is known as a really bad day to go visiting or have guests over at your place. According to Chinese beliefs, people are prone to argue on Chikou Day, so it’s best to stay home so as to avoid stirring up trouble so early in the new year.

Ruco took Chikou Day a step further by posing for a pic with him holding up a feather duster at Quinta, who looks back at him in wide-eyed fear.

“How could anyone bear to hit such an adorable child?” said one netizen, while another quipped, “The fact that she didn’t run away when she saw the feather duster proves that he doesn’t hit her with it.”
