Single’s Inferno’s Song Ji A Apologises For Wearing Fake Designer Clothes & Accessories

By now, you would have heard of Netflix Korean dating show Single’s Inferno, which is basically the love child of the raunchy Love Island and the laidback, buttoned up Terrace House.

Unsurprisingly, Single’s Inferno's contestants have all gone on to become internet sensations, like the show's breakout star 25-year-old Song Ji A.

The YouTuber, who also goes by Freezia on social media, already had a massive Instagram following before the show but is said to have gained 600K new followers in the weeks after its debut. FYI she now has 3.3mil followers on IG.

Viewers loved her sultry, alluring beauty and her flirty, candid remarks that had the male contestants eating out of her perfectly manicured hands.

With all this newfound fame, it's no surprise that everything Ji A does, and wear, has come under intense scrutiny.

On Jan 17, she posted a handwritten letter in which she admitted that allegations of her "wearing fake designer products on social media and on Single's Inferno are true".

She added that as "someone with dreams of launching a brand" of her own, she will "seriously recognise and reflect deeply".

Ji A has also deleted those IG posts in which she wore knockoffs.

The controversy began days ago when netizens noticed that the designer outfits she has worn on IG and Single's Inferno look different from the originals.

A Chanel crewneck she wore in an IG photo was called out as a “blatant fake” because it’s a different colour from the original. The logo on her top is also thinner than the original’s.

It wasn't the only Chanel knockoff she allegedly owns and netizens have said that she “probably buys these fakes from China”.

A dress that she wore to Paradise while on Single’s Inferno is believed to be fake as well.

While the print is French designer Marine Serre’s trademark pattern, the luxury brand has never released a dress that looks like that. Sleuthing done by netizens has revealed that the dress Ji A wore was manufactured by a Chinese company instead.

A Van Cleef & Arpels necklace she modelled in a photo is also said to be a fake after netizens noticed that the chain is connected at a different spot as compared to the original.

Netizens have since called Ji A out for being “fake from head to toe” and “pretending to be rich”, but her fans have also defended her saying that “Ji A never hurt anyone, so this is no big deal”.
