TVB actor Ruco Chan Ran Up 40 Flights Of Stairs To Get His Wife’s Gown For Their Pre-Wedding Photoshoot When The Lift Broke Down

Hongkong celeb couple Ruco Chan and Phoebe Sin got married in 2018 after dating for two years, much of which was done on the down-low. Their pre-wedding shoot in England was also hush-hush until the gorgeous pix were shared with the world just months before their nuptials.

Almost four years after that shoot took place, Phoebe recently revealed in an interview a fun nugget about the trip: Ruco ran up 20 storeys, or 40 flights of stairs, to get her wedding dress as the elevator in the building broke down the day they were scheduled to pick it up. Is that a grand gesture of love or what?

Ruco apparently chose England as the proposal and pre-wedding shoot destination as Phoebe had studied there and has a soft spot for the country. He had flown an entire team with them to ensure a perfect experience.

We’re not sure why the couple had to personally pick up the dress, but then how else would the actor have had a chance to show that chivalry was very much alive? When they heard about the lift breakdown, the erstwhile Miss Hongkong finalist suggested that they return the next day to collect the gown. The TVB leading man offered to take the stairs instead, and she quipped that he returned swiftly, taking “a really short time, around 20 minutes!”

The actor responded modestly, admitting his legs did indeed feel “weak even the day after” the vertical marathon.
