The last time you were reminded to count your blessings… While I was filming The Bridge in Malaysia, I had to do all the stunts myself. I’ve not done so much cardio in such a long time. I ran a lot. And I had a lot of fighting scenes. There was one fight sequence that was a minute-long but we took close to 12 hours to shoot the entire thing. Your biggest blessing in life besides family and work… I’m thankful towards my parents for giving me such a handsome face. (Laughs) And very good and strong genes ’cos I think that’s something you are born with. The last blessing you gave… While I was filming this drama, many people came to me and said jokingly, “Eh, ancestor, bless me leh.” (Laughs) [Ed: Shaun plays Chen Hanwei’s great-grandfather in the drama.] So I blessed them that things would go smoothly for them and that they would be safe and healthy. Material-wise, I recently bought a branded bag for my wife to pamper her. It was her birthday and I wanted to encourage her since she sacrificed so much for our family. Your biggest blessing in life besides family and work… My netball teammates. A big part of my life was devoted to netball and competitions. So I’ve known these friends since my secondary school days. The camaraderie we built during our competition days is just unforgettable. The last time you were reminded to count your blessings… Everyday ’cos before I sleep, I reflect on my day. Good or bad, I always tell myself that it’s a blessing to be alive and it's a blessing that I’m not living in some refugee camp or born in the period where Hitler kills people.
