Malaysian entertainer Hamdan Ramli died on Friday (Jan 5) at Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru, Malaysia at the age of 54. Hamdan, who was a member of the famed Malaysian comedy troupe Senario, had been put in an induced coma since Jan 1 due to suspected kidney problems.
His death was confirmed by fellow Senario member Azlee Jaafar.
"(Hamdan's health) had been deteriorating for the past two days when his heart was functioning at only 20 per cent and assisted ventilation could not support him," said Azlee to members of the Malaysian media.
It was also revealed that Azlee had arranged for a van to transport Hamdan's body to his home in Ipoh.
Hamdan, along with the Senario members, had been scheduled to perform a show in Johor Bahru as part of the group's 27th anniversary. He is survived by his wife and four children.
