Thanks to a recently uploaded video, we finally have a confirmation of what Taylor Swift was up to during her stay in Singapore – besides enchanting Swifties for six nights at the Eras tour shows. During that period, sightings of the Grammy Award-winning singer on her days off were few and far between – which prompted many to speculate on her activities during her one-week stay here.
On Saturday (Apr 20), Swift uploaded a video on YouTube Shorts, inviting fans to participate in her For A Fortnight challenge. As outlined in a post on social media platform X, the challenge encouraged fans to upload 14 clips from 14 moments of their lives, that is, a fortnight – a reference to the lead single from Swift's new album The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift's video showed her engaging in a myriad activities, from playing with her cat Benjamin to baking cinnamon rolls. Eagle-eyed fans, however, spotted two familiar local landmarks in her video.
First was a clip of Taylor Swift admiring a Supertree at Gardens by the Bay, alongside a man who is presumably her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce – judging by his buzz cut.
Second was a clip of her at Japanese restaurant Koma, trying their signature Star Of The Show cocktail with the establishment's unique red lanterns in the background. This seemingly corroborates a previous report of a TikTok user who claimed to have seen Swift in Koma.
Swift's video has received close to 40 million views so far with many fans uploading their own interpretations of the For A Fortnight challenge. Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department was released on Apr 19 and was later revealed to be a double album with over 30 songs and a playing time exceeding two hours.
